Iran Silk Road Tour. Silk Road; a complex network of trade routes that has a significant role in the development of the civilizations of Arabia, China, India, Persia and Europe. This way which is deeply rooted in history extends 6500 km and because Silk of China has been the most important trade along this road, the German geographer Ferdinand Von Richthofen called it “The Silk Road” in 1877. Iran has been one of the countries en route the Silk Road and played an essential role for transfer of culture and goods to other countries. A country which has a beautiful diverse nature, yet each part speaks the language of history. Today, this road has been lost in the pages of history books, but its name is still a herald of relationship among nations and our country as a part of this ancient road, with its rich cultural vestiges, ancient civilization, vastness of land, climatic and geographic varieties have a lot of attractions to offer, as it always did.

  • Our routes have been carefully chosen to include the best night stops and highlights. However, as local and operational conditions may vary and unforeseen circumstances can arise, the following itinerary should be used as a guideline.

Based on historical books there are two different roués from Qazvin:

Day 1

Arrival in Tehran

Day 2


Full day city tour of Tehran to visit Golestan Place that is both a historic site and museum. It is a complex that consists of 17 palaces, museums, and Halls and it is worth to spend a few hours to visit its luxuriously decorated rooms, nice and big dining area and ballroom and well landscaped Gardens with fountains. The Archaeological or national museum of Iran that represents you many different periods of Iran’s rich history, Glass and Carpet Museums. Hotel in Tehran Breakfast
Day 3

Tehran - Mashhad

In the morning flight to the second most populous city of Iran and the major city along the ancient silk road; it is also home to the holy shrine of Imam Reza, one of the most visited places of pilgrimage in the world. City tour of Mashhad to visit The Imam Reza Holy shrine and Nader shad tomb; then drive to Toos to visit Ferdowsi tomb and Haruniyeh Dome. Hotel in Mashhad Breakfast
Day 4


Excursion to Neishabour to visit Tomb of Attar and Khayam tomb; en route we will have a short stop to visit Ghadamgah. As you know Mashhad is very famous for its Turquoise, so, depending on the time we will visit a turquoise mine. Hotel in Mashhad Breakfast
Day 5

Mashhad - Shahrud

Drive to Shahrud en route sabzevar to visit The Amirieh Bath and then go sightseeing. Hotel in Shahrud Breakfast
Day 6

Shahrud - Damghan

Drive to Bastam to visit The Bayazid Bastami Tomb then Damghan city to visit Tarikkhaneh Temple or Mosque, the oldest mosque of Iran. It belongs to Sassanid-era and located on the southern part of Damghan. At first it has been a Zoroastrian Fire Temple during the Sassanid period; then the ancient city of Tepe Hissar (Hecatompylos); an ancient Parthian city and capital of the Iranian Arsacid dynasty. Day 7

Damghan – Sari

Drive to Sari, city tour of sari to visit Borj-e-Soltan Zein-o-Din, Jame Mosque. Hotel in Sari Breakfast
Day 8

Sari - Tehran

Drive to Tehran, full day city tour of Tehran to visit Tehran Bazaar, Sepahsalar School & mosque, and Saad Abad palace. This palace refers to Qajar dynasty and is located in the foothills of Tochal and Darband .it covers an area of 110 Hectares, has 18 palaces, which 7 palaces had changed to museums .walking in its beautiful garden in a fresh air would be pleasant. Day 9

Tehran - Qazvin

Drive to Qazvin. Drive to Qazvin for a half day city tour to visit The Jameh Mosque and The Chehel Sotoun Edifice. Hotel in Qazvin Breakfast
Day 10

Qazvin - Zanjan

Drive to Zanjan en route visiting Soltaniyeh dome, then visiting bazaar, a traditional Laundry house or Rakhtshoy Khane that dates back to Qajar Era. Currently, it is Zanjan’s Museum of Anthropology Museum. Hotel in Zanjan Breakfast
Day 11

Zanjan – Tabriz

Drive to Tabriz. Half day city tour of Tabriz to visit the Blue Mosque, Azerbaijan Museum, Shah-Goli Pavilion, and bazaar. Hotel in Tabriz Breakfast
Day 12

Tabriz - Tehran

Full day excursion to St. Thaddeus (Black) Church (or Kandovan Rocky village), then flight to Tehran. Hotel in Tehran Breakfast
Day 13


Free to leisure, transfer to airport for departure. Breakfast

Day 10

Qazvin - Hamadan

Drive to Hamadan enroute visiting Ali Sadr cave the world’s largest water cave that was surveyed in the summer of 2001. It is 11 km longs and contains several large, deep lakes, so, travel through it is done by boat. Hotel in Hamadan Breakfast

Full-day city tour including visit the Jewish holy site of Esther & Mordekhay mausoleum. The 12th-century monument of Gombad (Alavian Dome) alavian that is related to the Saljuqi period. Hegmataneh hill ruins of seven folds of civilization. Hotel in Hamadan Breakfast
Day 12

Hamadan - Kermanshah

Drive to Kermanshah, Excursion to Kermanshah to visit Sassanian bas-reliefs at Tagh-e Bostan, the Achaemenian inscriptions and reliefs at Bisotun and the Anahita Temple at Kangavar. Hotel in Kermanshah Breakfast
Day 13

Kermanshah – Tehran – Departure

Flight to Tehran in the morning, free at leisure; then walking in green lanes of Darband. Transfer to airport for departure flight. Breakfast
